Why $9/month flat instead of usage tiers?
Privacy compliance shouldn't get more expensive because your store grows. Pro is $9/mo at any volume — no impression limits, no domain caps beyond the one Shopify install, no surprise overages.
Do I need Pro if my store has no EU traffic?
Free covers California (CCPA/CPRA) opt-out at a basic level, and the free banner already fires Google Consent Mode v2 signals to your Google tags. If you sell to EU/UK visitors, Pro's auto-blocker prevents supported trackers from firing before visitor consent — the gap a banner alone doesn't close. For US-only stores, Pro is still useful for the PDF + Excel reports for audits and legal review and weekly re-scans.
Can I downgrade from Pro to Free?
Yes. Cancel Pro from your Shopify admin or the in-app Account tab. Pro features stay live until the end of your current billing period, then your store reverts to Free automatically. You lose the full scan-history tab and exportable reports; your recent scans stay on the dashboard.
What happens during the 7-day trial?
Full Pro access from the moment you start. No card on file required — Shopify handles billing only after the trial ends. Cancel anytime before day 7 and you're not charged. After day 7, the $9/mo billing starts on your next Shopify invoice.
Is there a discount for multiple stores?
Not currently. Each Shopify store installs ClearConsent independently with its own $9/mo Pro subscription. For agencies managing many stores, contact us to discuss bulk arrangements.
